The Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association, USA – Greater Philadelphia (CBA-GP) held its opening ceremony and innovation entrepreneurship forum on February 4th in the suburbs of Philadelphia. CBA is one of the largest professional technical associations between China and the United States, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Maryland as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to promote comprehensive exchange in the field of biopharmaceuticals between China and the United States. The establishment of CBA-GP aims to strengthen regional communication and collaboration, and to promote innovation, industry incubation, and commercialization of biotechnology. It will also enhance the depth of cooperation between the academic and industrial fields, and provide help and support for the career development of its members.

The inauguration ceremony was opened by the founder and President of CBA-GP, Ling Yang, who conveyed the association’s mission to the attendees and expressed sincere gratitude. The ceremony was honored by the presence of many government officials, Professors and entrepreneurs.

During the sumptuous luncheon, Dr. James Wilson, Dr. Patrick Lam, Dr. Yang Liu, Dr. Dajun Yang, Dr. Partick Lu, Dr. David Chang, Louis P. Kassa, Dr. Weidong Xiao, Dr. Susanne Wayne, Dr. Shuibing Chen, Dr. Yanming Du, Dr. Wenhui Hu, Dr. Zuyi Huang, and more than ten other academic and industrial experts sent their best wishes to the association and shared their views on the development of the industry and cutting-edge technologies. More than 150 people attended the opening ceremony, including eight CBA Presidents/Past Presidents, about 20 university professors, and more than 100 executives and leaders of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Each participant wore a commemorative scarf presented by the association, and the red scarves added a festive atmosphere to the event. We look forward to the growth of the association, the development of the industry, and our next meeting in CBA-GP.
