Leadership Team

Ru Zheng, MBA

President

Ru Zheng is the VP of Business Development of Antagen Pharmaceutical Inc., focusing on the development and commercialization of innovative biological drugs. She has more than 20 years of experience in the life science and medical device industries. She served at Thermo Fisher Scientifics for almost a decade with diverse roles and progressing responsibilities leading teams in sales operation, business intelligence, product management, strategic pricing, strategic marketing, and business development functions. She also worked in Boston Scientific managing supply chain initiatives, strategic sourcing, and supplier management in the United States. Ru is a certified Dale Carnegie Trainer, TypeCoach Professionals, and active community leader.  She has served in the leadership team as officer, general manager (2008-2013), former president (2013-2014), and as a board member (2014-2020) in New England Chinese Information and Networking Association.  She has been volunteering to Youth Entrepreneurship Service Program there since 2006.  Ru received her MBA with Global Financial Analysis concentration from Bentley University and earned her B.A. majoring in International Business from Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies (Formerly Guangzhou Foreign Language Institute)


Iain Cai, MD

Vice President – Event and Program operations

Mr. Iain Cai is senior director of CR Medicon, a subsidiary company of the CRO giant Pharmaron Inc.  Prior to this, he spent over ten years in academia, pharma, and biotech companies in the US and Europe. Iain was trained in translational medicine at King’s College London, UK.


Jincheng Wu, PhD

Vice President – Member Services

Jincheng Wu currently works at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research since 2018 as an Investigator for clinical biomarker in oncology. Prior to that, he worked at MedImmune/AstraZeneca as Research Bioinformatics Scientist for 4 years. Jincheng got his Ph.D from Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at State University of New York at Buffalo. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in biomedical research including top-tier journals like Nature Immunology and Nature Communications. He has also served as paper reviewers for multiple scientific journals.


Meijuan Li, PhD

Vice President – Regulatory and KOL Relations

Ms. Meijuan Li is VP of Head of Biometrics and Biomarkers at Foundation Madicine.  She leads the biostatisticians, bioinformatics scientitsts, computational biologists, data scientistis and data mangers, and provides strategic oversight for the functional units of biostatistics, data management and biomarker development and analysis to develop novel biomarkers for precision medicine. Prior to this, she spent over ten years in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and was latest serving in the capacity of the chief of Diagnostic Statistics Branch II in the Division of Biostatistics of the Center for Devices and Radiologic Health (CDRH) at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Her branch covers all in vitro diagnostic devices and some in vivo diagnostic and therapeutic devices submitted to CDRH.  Meijuan earn her PhD and MS from University of Minnesota, majoring in Biostatistics.
